I started playing guitar in 1974, and spent most of the 1970s and 1980s playing in rock bands along the Gulf Coast. I’m the former leader of the group Elder Tribe. My wife and I relocated to the West Coast Seattle/Tacoma area in 2020 and at that time I left Elder Tribe to pursue solo projects.
My early influences were acoustic rock and folk bands like Fleetwood Mac, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Dan Fogelberg, John Prine, and of course Pink Floyd. In addition to several folk-rock albums I have also released several Native American Flute albums. In the wake of 2020-2021, I find myself going off in another musical direction that is bringing me back closer to my musical roots in the Appalachians of the Carolinas. It’s been quite the musical journey for me. If you’d like to come along, I welcome you to share the ride!
